Franklin is a proud member of the Beacons Network.  The Minneapolis Beacons Network partners the Minneapolis Public Schools with four of the largest Youth Development organizations in the Twin Cities The YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis, The YWCA of Minneapolis, The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, and Minneapolis Public Schools Community Education. Minneapolis Beacons engages youth as leaders and learners by transforming schools into active youth centers afterschool and in the summer, providing free educational, recreational, and leadership development activities for youth. 

Our After School Program runs Monday-Thursday 3:45-5:45 and is a collaboration of Community Education and ALC. We offer a variety of after school classes from homework help to social groups to skills based classes. At Franklin, we believe that connecting students to different after school classes enhances their feeling of school belonging and satisfaction.
